My Thoughts on the result of Tottenham vs Chelsea

Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham

                                                                  Alli 45+1, 54

  • Chelsea deserved to win the record of the most Premier League winning games in a row, because they’ve been absolutely magnificent since they changed formation. However, they didn’t deserve to win the game.
  • That win has brought Tottenham right near top spot.
  • Chelsea shouldn’t panic too much about it, it’s only one loss.
  • Dele Alli will score lots more this season.
  • Chelsea will still win the league.
  • Tottenham will not finish in the top four.
  • Alli and Kane are Tottenham’s main players and will provide the goals and the assists for Spurs this season.

Some players that clubs need to buy in January

Jose Fonte from Southampton to Man City

With City having some major defensive problems this season. Guardiola needs to buy a new centre back. So Fonte would be a perfect defender to approach as he has requested a transfer.

Having spent six years loyally at the club, he has handed out a transfer request to Southampton.

Odion Ighalo from Watford to Stoke

With Ighalo having lost form massively since his incredible start of the 15/16 season. A fresh start at a new club is needed, and Stoke need a centre forward. So why don’t they buy him?

Kevin Wimmer from Spurs to Burnley

With Mee still young, Burnley should look for Wimmer in the market and then gradually Mee can take Wimmer’s place in the team.

Kevin Wimmer should be a first choice centre back for a few years if he joins.

Aaron Cresswell from West Ham to Crystal Palace

With Souare looking to be out for a long time Palace need a new left back. So someone like Cresswell is needed at the club.

First Football Podcast

This is my first football podcast ever on this website. I will be talking alongside Jack every Wednesday and Kit on some Sundays. We will discuss three topics for around fifteen minutes. For this podcast we did a Tottenham vs Chelsea preview, what’s happened so far with Hull this season and we discussed Swansea’s managerial change.

Premier League Round up of the past three days of football

The biggest match in these past days has definitely been Liverpool vs Manchester City- as both teams are positioned near the top of the league. The game ended 1-0 to Liverpool, the goal coming from an incredible header from Summer signing Georginio Wijandlum.

On Saturday Middlesbrough played Manchester United- a big talking point for the game was Ibrahimovic’s unfairly disallowed goal, where the referee ( Lee Mason) said that Ibrahimovic’s boot was dangerously high.

Moving on, Chelsea beat Stoke in a 4-2 win, where Willian scored twice. The game secured Chelsea’s thirteenienth league game win on the trot, if they beat Spurs tommorow they will beat Arsenal’s record of fourteen league game wins in a row

It was impressive stuff from Willian

Having beat City on Saturday Liverpool were looking to easily beat relegation favourites Sunderland two days after. However, Klopp’s team were held to a draw, which must have felt like a loss as Chelsea are five points ahead of them with one game to spare.

Why Bradley had to go

Bob Bradley got a sacked last night after a short reign of 85 days, which he won two of his eleven games in charge. The main reason of the sack was because there seemed to be no sign of change under the way they were playing. Swansea are now nineteenth in the league, and are only not bottom because of goal difference. Some people may say that he should have had a transfer market, however it was obvious that whoever he got in the market there was just not a connection with the fans or the players. So overall, good decision from Huw Jenkins.

So, Swansea you say in the comments if you think it was the right decision to sack Bradley?

Match Previews of the Week’s Football

Kicking off the festive week of football at 12:30, it’s Sam Allardyce’s first game in charge of Palace, and a mighty important one too, as a loss and a win for Sunderland could put critics on his back, as it would move Palace into the relegation zone.

At 3:00 on Monday, teams play such Arsenal- who are needing a win after two losses in a row. Manchester United- who are looking to continue their good run of form against an optimistic to stay up Sunderland, and finally Everton play Leicester, with both teams having under performed this season.

Jose Mourinho’s team are starting to string a good run of form together.

Later on in the day it’s Hull vs Manchester City.

In the period of the week you have fixtures such as Liverpool vs Stoke- which is must win game for Liverpool if their title rivals win, Southampton vs Tottenham- with the latter not looking like being anything near a title challenge, and lastly Everton play against each other, with Hull showing no signs in why they’re staying up.

Hull City and Mike Phelan look destined for relegation.

Hope you had a nice Christmas.

Why Sam Allardyce getting the Palace job was the correct decision

When Pardew got sacked, Sam Allardyce was the obvious option for the job, as he has shown his managerial quality by keeping teams in the Premier League. Which is exactly what Palace need after a poor run of form puts them in 17th position and one point off the relegation zone.

Some Palace fans may be saying that he shouldn’t be in this position after his corruption with the England job. However, I think that if he’s going to keep them up then they shouldn’t worry about his past; they should just worry about what he’s going to with the future of the club.

So Palace what do you think about the managerial change so quickly? Just comment on this page.

Why Alan Pardew being sacked was the right decision

Pardew in one of his more happy moments.

Alan Pardew has been lucky to stay so long at the club, and it was almost inevitable that he would get the sack at some point this season. Many people expected him to be dismissed when his team lost 5-4 Swansea, with some truly shambolic defending. However, it’s happened now after an awful run in 2016 were they had the worst points per game in the Football League. One of the main reasons he stayed at the club last season was because he got Palace to the FA Cup final – though, in the end he threw away the lead to lose 2-1.

The person heavily linked to the job right now is Sam Allardyce, who agreed to leave the position of England manager by mutual consent, just three months ago.

Premier League Round-up

These Premier League fixtures were the last before Christmas, and many people didn’t expect to see the table like this. Chelsea are in top spot by six points- when they only finished tenth last year. Leicester are in a relegation battle, and could be the first team to win the league then go down. Lastly, no one expected United to be top, thirteen points off top spot- after Mourinho spent big this summer. However, nothing is predictable in football.

Moving on to the results, Liverpool managed to beat Everton, with a stoppage time goal from Mane. Liverpool are now second in the table. United managed to keep paces up with Spurs as they beat a tough West Brom team. Sunderland got some good news for once, as they beat Watford 1-0. However, their rival relegation battlers Swansea and Hull both lost, and they must be contemplating how a season in the Championship will be like next season. Despite disappointment for those two clubs, the biggest disappointment must be for Arsenal fans, as they have had back to back defeats to City and Everton. Arsenal seem to always have a good start to season and then fall behind at about Christmas.

Why Chelsea will win the League

At the start of the season, many Chelsea fans were thinking that top four was their aim. However, Conte has got them to first, six points off both Arsenal and Liverpool. Conte has the edge to his rivals for backup with Willian, Ivanovic, Fabregas, Terry and Batshuayi, which is better than other title rivals especially Liverpool.

Image result for azpilicueta 2016 vs sunderland
Azpilicueta playing as a centre back against Sunderland yesterday.

The defence, which was a big concern at the start of the season, has worked a treat for them since they have switched to a back three. One of the things which surprised me was th at Terry is being dropped. However, Azpilicueta has filled in beautifully for him as an un inexperienced centre back.

But, the real thing that has worked for most of this season is the new formation, 3-4-3. As I already said, the defence fits in beautifully to the formation. The two midfielders, Matic and Kante, have been transformed, and provide cover for their centre backs. Nevertheless, the secret weapon is the wing backs, Moses and Alonso, who attack a lot of the time, but put in their defensive shift too. Both players were expected to spend their time on the bench this season. However, after the formation change, they were more suited to the wing back position than their competitors.

Moving further up the field, you have Costa and Hazard, both in form, scoring most of the goals and providing the assists for the team.

Tactical genius from Conte.

So I just can’t see how they’re not going to win the league. Despite my reasons, do Chelsea fans agree with me? Or do fans of other teams think they’re going to win the league? You just need to comment on the page.
