Ex Chelsea legend John Terry joins Aston Villa

John Terry has completed a move to Championship side Aston Villa.

The 36-year old said that he turned down many offers from Premier League clubs because he didn’t want to play against Chelsea.

He also added, “I was there for 22 years at the football club. I am very proud of that, but this is a new chapter in my life and career.”

“My thoughts are 100% here and the ambition is to get us back to the Premier League.”

Terry made his Chelsea debut in 1998 winning many trophies in a brilliant 22 years.

His last game for the club was on the final day, where he was substituted in the 26th minute, corresponding to his shirt number.

Terry’s aim is to fire Aston Villa to the Premier League, which is very possible even though last season they only finished 13th.

England u21’s denied a place in World Cup final by Germany as they lose on penalties

England were unable to reach the final of the u21’s World Cup after they were beaten in their semi-finals by Germany.

The score was 2-2 at full-time after Germany’s equaliser from substitute Platte in the 70th minute.

Both teams missed chances to win the game in extra-time so penalties followed.

With the score being 3-3 it was very nerve-racking for the last two takers, Nadiem Amiri and Nathan Redmond.

Amiri took first, sending it low into the corner giving Pickford no chance.

With England’s World Cup hopes resting on his shoulders, there was huge pressure on Nathan Redmond.

But his shot was saved by hero Pollersbeck, to break England’s hearts.

This was famously the third time that England have lost a semi-final against Germany.

However the future of English football is still very positive with the u17’s reaching the Euro finals and the u20’s winning the World Cup.

Crystal Palace appoint former Ajax and Inter Milan boss Frank de Boer

Crystal Palace have named Frank de Boer as their new boss on a three year contract.

The Dutchman takes over from Sam Allardyce who stepped down from the job in May.

He says about where he wants to finish this season, “The aim is to be a solid Premier League team, not struggle with relegation.”

“This is our main target-if we do more that’s nice.”

De Boer also says that he is excited to join a club that spend a lot of money.

De Boer is excited about a new challenge in England.

is His last two clubs have been Ajax and Inter Milan;

With Ajax, he won the league title in four successive seasons, but resigned after a disappointing year.

With Inter Milan he only lasted a few months, cutting his three year contract short.

The 47-year old has vowed to assess his squad before making signings, but the most important thing for him to do is to keep star players such as Zaha and Benteke at the club.

Clubs aim for title as Fabinho, Bakayoko, Alves and Rodriguez edge closer to done deals

Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have targeted top players  from Europe in a bid to win next season’s title.

Firstly, rumours suggest that Monaco’s Fabinho will sign for Manchester United in the short term after he said that a move was tempting.

Fabinho, a Brazilian international, played a big part in Monaco’s title win, helping defensively, whether at right-back or in centre-midfield.

Moving on, Chelsea seem to have completed a £35m deal with another Monaco midfielder, this time it’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.

He is expected to have his medical next week.

This move now means that one player out of Matic, Fabregas and Chalobah is likely to leave.

Also, Juventus have confirmed that they will release right-back Dani Alves from the final year of his contract.

In hearing this news, Manchester City are looking to bring him back to England – and have a big chance of doing that after Alves has praised Pep Guardiola, his former coach.

Alves and Guardiola have a close relationship, increasing the chances of a move.

Lastly, Chelsea and Manchester United are trying to lure James Rodriguez to join their club.

The Colombian has had a nightmarish few years at Real Madrid and a move is certainly on the cards for both clubs.

“He doesn’t want to stay”: The important things you need to know about Ronaldo’s possible move

Although Ronaldo signed a five year contract in just November, a source close to him says “he doesn’t want to stay in Spain,” because he is unhappy about being accused of tax fraud in the country.

His release clause is reported to be £875m, but clubs will definitely try to negotiate deals a lot less than that.

The Portuguese star last played a game for Real Madrid on the 3rd June, a game which could be his last for the club.

Ronaldo enjoyed a successful season, winning the Champions League and La Liga, and will surely be missed if he leaves.

The most likely destination for him, I think, is Old Trafford, where he is still loved by many fans after some great years.

Ronaldo’s days at Manchester United are still not forgotten by their fans.

Also, Zlatan has left, opening up a position for Ronaldo to fill.

More potential destinations are China, where they are willing to pay massive sums of money and PSG, who alike can pay huge fees.

Or a swap deal with Mbappe is on the cards.

Royal Marines training camp, incredible last minute-winner: A crazy and up and down week for English football

Monday, 5th June

England were sent on a Royal Marine training camp by manager Gareth Southgate to prepare for their next game against Scotland. The squad had their phones confiscated to try to get the team bonding. The activities – including going on a four-mile hike with 21kg on their backs – were exercises designed for Marine recruits.

Saturday, 10th June

England were hoping to continue their unbeaten status against Scotland, and only just managed to. Oxlade-Chamberlain scored first as a substitute before Lee Griffiths equalised with a stunning free kick. Unbelievably, he scored again a few minutes later from exactly the same spot, and Scotland looked to be on their way to victory until Kane brought the scoreline level in emphatic style.

Sunday, 11th June

England’s youngsters provided positivity for the future as they won the U20’s World Cup. They faced Venezuela in the final and won thanks to Everton’s Calvert-Lewin’s goal.

Tuesday, 13th June

England were beaten in an entertaining friendly fixture against France. Kane provided both of England’s goals to make his England tally three goals in two games. But France dominated despite having Varane sent off and managed to score three times past England’s leaky defence.

Thursday, 15th June

Jordan Pickford became England’s most expensive keeper in history after completing a £25m move to Everton from Sunderland. This move comes after a successful season, and also increases his chances of being selected by the national team.

The big transfer rumours right now

Mohamed Salah to Liverpool from Roma

After a season where he scored sixteen goals, Jurgen Klopp has made Salah one of his main targets for the summer. Roma rejected a first bid of £28m, wanting at least £35m, a price that Liverpool are reluctant to pay. Talks seemed to have stalled, but reports say the move is now back on.

Alvaro Morata to Manchester United from Real Madrid

With Zlatan leaving Manchester United, they will need to replace him with a striker. And rumours suggest that their replacement will be Morata, who they hope to get even though they want him for £10m less than Real Madrid demand.

United will hope that Morata can replace Zlatan after his departure.

James Rodriguez to Chelsea from Real Madrid

Another player who is possibly going to leave Real Madrid… Rodriguez has been linked with a move to Chelsea for £70m. His time in Spain since moving from Monaco for a huge sum of money has been a nightmare and a move is almost definite this summer.

Davy Klaasen to Everton from Ajax

Trying to bolster his side’s attacking threat, Ronald Koeman is aiming to sign Davy Klaasen from Ajax. Deals seem close and Everton aim to complete the signing before the end of the week.

“You’re not in my plans anymore”; What is Costa’s situation at Chelsea

Costa was not in a brilliant situation at the start of the season, despite that, he fired Chelsea to the title by scoring twenty goals in thirty-five games and always being a threat upfront.

However, Conte wants to sell him.

Here is Costa after Spain’s draw with Colombia on Wednesday.

“I’ll be sincere. The other day I got a text message from coach Conte saying I’m not in his plans anymore.”

“Right now I’m a Chelsea player. But the coach doesn’t want me there. So I’ll have to leave no matter what.”

“I don’t know where I’ll go, I’ll see. But people know I cherish Atletico Madrid a lot and I also love to live in Madrid.”

Costa was linked with a move to China in January, but Chelsea said they had no intention of selling him.

Costa moved to Chelsea in 2014 from Atletico Madrid, a club he has hinted of his desire to return to.

The things that will happen next in this drama will be very interesting for football fans like me.

Real Madrid show dominance in Europe with Champions League retainment

Real Madrid became the first team to win the Champions League two seasons running by beating Juventus 4-1 in the final.

There was a big sense of expectation and hope as both teams were led out on to the pitch. But one man we thought we would see was not there after Zidane chose Isco instead of Bale.

Juventus started well, but Real soon took back control.

Ronaldo’s goal put the Spanish side in front, and Juventus into shock after their bright start.

However, the experience of  Juve’s backline spurred them on to an equaliser.

Sandro fired in a cross which Higuain laid off to Mandzukic who, with his back to goal, looped the ball over Keylor Navas to level the scoreline and score one of the best Champions League final goals.

Incredible skill: Mandzukic’s overhead kick.

Real Madrid dominated in the second half, with Casemiro’s long-range deflected shot putting them in front again before Ronaldo scored his second of the day from Modric’s cross.

Juventus’ final got even worse as Juan Cuadrado, a substitute, was sent off for a second caution and young forward Asensio scored late on to make Real Madrid Champions of Europe once more.
